This 1977 monster film was produced by Hong Kong’s Shaw Brothers Studio to capitalize on the hype surrounding the 1976 remake of King Kong. The monster suit for Utam (the Peking Man) was designed by our special guest Keizo Murase, who amazingly wore the suit and did stunt work for the film as well!

Godzilla vs. Mothra was the fourth in the Heisei series, and Toho’s nineteenth Godzilla film. Released in 1992, it saw the return of one Godzilla’s classic foes, Mothra as well as a new kaiju, Battra. Koichi Kawakita’s excellect effects work would continue, as well as a powerful score by the master, Akira Ifukube.
